Free information, How to use Yorkshire grit and Hampshire sheen

I have been asked so many questions over the years on finishing techniques, hopefully this will answer many of them.

Description

Finishing a bowl with Grit’N’ Sheen
-Turn and sand immaculately to 320 grit.
-Clean the dust out of the wood grain using denatured alcohol, compressed air or tack rag
-seal the wood with a sanding sealer, pay special attention to the end grain, allow time to fully dry.
-denib with a scouring pad or 320 grit sandpaper to remove any streaks left by the sanding sealer.
-apply a small amount of Yorkshire Grit over the entire surface, in slow speed work it in with a paper towel, gradually increase the speed, work it in, after a short time remove all residue with a clean paper towel.
-you now have achieved approximately 1000 grit equivalent of traditional dry sanding.
-to achieve a higher grit equivalent repeat using Yorkshire Grit microfine.
-you now have achieved a superior prepared surface without all of the traditional dry sanding which saves you money and reduces the fine dust in the air in your shop.
To achieve a long lasting shine, apply a small amount of Hampshire sheen food and toy safe gloss to the entire surface, allow time to vap off the solvents, when it is tacky buff to a shine at a safe high speed. buff untill nothing comes off onto the paper towel.
-to achieve maximum protection of this finish apply a small amount of Hampshire sheen microcrystalline wax to entire surface, allow time to vap off solvents, when it is tacky  buff to a fingerprint proof finish, make sure nothing else is coming off the piece onto the paper towel, then you know you are done.
Congratulations, you have achieved a superior wax based finish that will outshine and outlast others.
